Create a Voice Note

Why just send it when you can say it and share it? Voice notes from your BlackBerry smartphone gives your emails and messages personality! Create a voice note in two easy steps:

  1. In voice notes, click the record icon.
  2. Perform any of the following actions:
    • To pause recording, click the pause icon. To resume recording, click the record icon.
    • To stop recording, click the pause icon. Click the stop icon.

Send a Voice Note

  1. Record your voice note.
  2. When finished recording, select Send As MMS.
  3. Choose your phone or email contact and click Send when ready.

Send a Voice Note with BlackBerry Messenger1

Perk up your IM conversation by creating and sending a voice note right in the middle of it! You can record and send a new voice note to a contact.

  1. In BlackBerry® Messenger, during a conversation, press the Menu key.
  2. Click Send Voice Note.
  3. Record a voice note.
  4. Click Send.

Ring Tones

Let your BlackBerry smartphone sing when it rings! Turn voice notes into specialized ring tones, or download pre-existing ring tones.

Set a Voice Note as Your Ring Tone & Changing Ring Tones

Give your BlackBerry smartphone a voice by saving a voice note as your own personal ring tone!

  1. Save your voice note to file.
  2. In the notification profile list, click Advanced.
  3. Highlight a notification profile.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Click Show Tunes.
  6. Click a media folder that contains songs, ring tones, or voice notes.
  7. Highlight a song, ring tone, or voice note.
  8. Press the Menu key.
  9. Click Set As Phone Tune.

Downloading Ring Tones

  1. In the media application, click Ring Tones.
  2. Click All Ring Tones.
  3. Press the Menu key.
  4. Click Download Tunes.

  2. 2Depending on your wireless service provider, this feature might not be supported.
